have loaded car, will travell. . .
my recent adventures included about 30 hours of driving in this trusty vehicle. I saw a lot of highway, and trees.

Teddy was put to sleep after being badly kicked by another horse.
She was a grand old mare and will be sadly missed.

well its a BIG place!
eight hours of flying to Calgary followed by eight hours of driving to Nelson.
and another ten hours of driving yesterday to arrive in Portland, Oregon.
some consolation is that I am not actually having to do all this driving and I get to choose the music in the car.

bye garden!

I am flying off to Canada this afternoon for my two weeks holiday and I am definatly being picked up at the airport, which is a relief to me! I will post if possible.
big poppy! its obiously enjoying the warmth we've been having and has come out early
this acacia is about to burst into full bloom, just in time for me to miss it. . . also the peony has buds for the first time ever, probably miss that too. . .
and whats planted and seeded will have to cope without me.
Rosie is in charge of the greenhouse, if anything dies she is to be held responsible. . . and beaten accordingly. . .

I have been planning a trip to Canada for some time. I rarely holiday anywhere but my own house(I do 'weekends' away frequently, but only really in Scotland) and I do not travell(I went to Rome for a week twenty years ago) so for me this a big thing.
Now all is going on an 'unplanned' status, my friends daughter has gone into labour six weeks early and my holiday may be slightly different. We had a total panic when this happened but nobody wants me to cancel and I am still heading over.
Just at the moment the baby seems to be staying put and things may be okay. But there is the possibility that I will arrive in Calgary with nobody to pick me up. . . we have looked into hostels and there are plenty of places to stay, then get the 'Greyhound' or look into internal flights. This thought filled me with horror till I thought about it and then decided this will be an ADVENTURE. So I am packing a rucksack instead of a suitcase for easier carrying.

But I think in future, the bottom of the garden may be as far I plan to go. . . .

Tansy walks the line. .

Tansy walks on the bricks running up the side of the path, her paws too delicate for walking on stones. . .

I posted a link some time ago telling about a rescued horse called Atom, it has now been updated.
