harvest

I planted for potatoes for christmas, here they are 5 months late after sitting in the greenhouse while I waited for them to grow! some weeny carrots planted in a pot in the greenhouse in january, and a spring onion from the garden.

update: all steamed, little bit of melted butter and all GONE!!

Looks good! My potato plants are just now emerging from the ground. I can't wait!

Dan, they are indeed red duke, very yummy.
Christa, well the touble is I cant wait.. thats why the early stuff in the greenhouse, just wee bits but a nice treat!

What a delicious-looking treat! I can imagine those potatoes just melting in my mouth... yum!! I bet you'll have another crop later on.

WGA, at this time of year all veggies are worth their weight in gold!
Kate, I've recently planted buckets of potatoes outside so they'll have a crop later hopefully.
Becky, they were very tasty, hope you get yours planteda nd get a good crop!

They look soooo good... I bet they tasted good too. Way to go, Claire. Nothing tastes quite as good as home grown food.

Yum! There's nothing like small red potatoes straight out of the ground. A little bit of heaven!

Alice, they were good. I had a repeat tonight and thats all my early veg gone, have to wait for proper harvest times now.
